PETITION: Extend opportunity to purchase bonus pack
I think the bonus pack offer should be extended for an additional 2 week period. Everyone who agrees should post a response.

The ability to spend the money was long enough, all you really had to do was buy GWEN and then you get it for free.
Somethimes Real Life does get "in the way" but it happens.

I refused to buy GWEN on-line after hearing that people were billed $299.99 for GWEN and not $29.99. Also, I didn't ask for Negative Nancy's to post in this petition. And why should ANet not consider my request? I'm offering to give them $30 of my cash I earned at my job. Not by selling gold on E-Bay. That's $30 they won't see if I can't get the bonus pack.

The period to get the pack was long enough, not A-Net's problem that you were to afraid to buy it in the online store, I am sure that those situations were taken care of anyways.
Just save yourself the trouble admins and close this thread now.

I think the bonus pack will be for sale once it's available for those who get it for free, maybe after one day, or one week, its impossible Anet gonna just keep that part of the game and give it for free, while there are potentially millions of other players who would want to purchase it, that didn't get it for free.
happy days.

WRONG
confirmed by Gaile that they meant it as a limited time specific online store ONLY promotion which would not be made available later.
it was not free as you had to spend the required amount in the store
if you didnt get it thinking you would get it cheap later sorry

Loviatar, could you post where Gaile confirmed that? I was curious about this whole thing myself and was wondering if I would be able to buy it separately later. There wasn't enough stuff in the store that I wanted to make it worth it, and EotN was a gift not purchased through the store.

here is the latest i could find and it gives some smigeon of hope from the official site Gailes page

I have asked about the possibility of extending the promotion, and that is not possible. The marketing team is going to figure out an alternative of some sort so that all players can obtain the BMP if they so desire. Unfortunately, due to the challenges and the scale of putting together any sort of promotion (multiple websites, several teams, different regional laws, etc) it will take a while for this to happen. -- Gaile 17:40, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

You need to look more into this...it is free, and you just said so in your own post. Sicne you cannot actually purchase the bonus pack in the store you spend $29 on other things and get the bonus pack as a result of this. It is free, just like getting a free brush when you buy a can of paint when the "promotion" is available.
And Yuri, i highly doubt Anet cares about your $30, sure they have to pay for servers, but if you want to think a company will go to lengths to get your $30, go play WoW, i am sure they will oblige to take your money.

Anet is owned by NCsoft and NCsoft is the one who pays the bills not Anet

You had several months to do it. And btw, they were only billed 299 because they didn't be patient and let the client do the work, and refreshed the request which caused the multi-charge.

well they did give a deadline for it, whish proberly influenced a good bit of sales in a short timeline, if they extended it and brought of the new pvp packs, people may be sad they couldn't spend it on that.
you id had 2-3 months to buy it.
i am kind of on your boat as it would seem, as i was hoping they'd have sms support by then, which they didn't so i can't get the pack either, if they made it a permanant thing where if you spend over €26 and got the pack i would love that, but i don't see it happening

yeah would really suck if he wasn't afraid to buy it and real life actually got in the way, like he said..some people have bills to pay and a job to work to pay said bills, not everyone has mommy and daddy to pay for their video games.

Otherwise it's another "I'm just a gamer but I speak with my imagined authority when I say that I have this and you don't so you don't deserve it because I, a mere gamer, have declared it so."

it really sucks but a promotion extention would have an adverse effect on them.
After all it would be a really CHEAP trick to pull on your customer ("buy this Quick! Quick! its only for a SHORT SHORT time!") and then turn around to say "ah yeah nvm we can extend it a bit."
I would hate to see future products go for sale with that particular approach, i know i would never fall for it again.
however. Its reasonable to assume they will just simply sell it separately.
no matter WHAT gaile says. shes nice and all but it would be marketing stupidity NOT to sell it later.
the product is finished, the distribution is in place, the market is there.
"nah lets not make some money" yeah RIGHT.
